04/06/92: Just compiled the latest code and will be
posting this on the bbs in about an hour.
Released as MDFE1a.ZIP today. A maintenance
release.
04/01/92: This is not an April fools joke. I was gonna
post the new version today but my old MFM 2:1
controller will no longer step the floppy drive
There is a Modem in this machine so I will have
to upload the new stuff to my board. Still re-
reading the code for errors. I guess you guys
thought they were features. <G>
03/29/92: Still waiting for Bug reports. So far the only
report where the MegaDoor(tm) LOGX X=Node number
is not being deleted before MegaDoor is called.
The TEMPORARY fix is to delete the Log file
before calling the door in the batch. Gonna
go and kill that bug now. If I dont hear any
other reports by 4/1, I will release 1a as a
maintenance release. Gee, while adding the Log
deletion stuff I found a bug where the UL and
DL files were not being deleted. Fixed that at
the same time.
02/23/92: Version 1.0 released, Now working on a door to
handle distributing the registration file <G>.
02/22/92: Finished the registration stuff. Noticed a bug
where if you put the switch symbol "/" in front of
the command line switch (MDFE?.CNF) it would barf.
all fixed.
02/21/92: Started working on the Registration stuff and found
the 2/19 patches were done to the wrong version.
IMPORTANT there is a new line in the MDFE?.CNF file
for now it should be blank. The new line is located
between the SysOp Name and the MEGACFG filename.
02/19/92: Fixed small bug where MDFE was appending the Port
number rather than the node number to the MEGACFG
file.
02/17/92: Added New Function: V C to change the graphic mode
from Color to Non-color Local logins call LMENU(G).
Menus included with the door were Created by David
Jones, at the Wonderful World of Color BBS
02/11/92: Releasing same version less known bugs... Had some
great ideas on the way home from work. Look out know.
02/10/92: Program now displays the mail uploaded and downloaded.
02/09/92: Bug reported by David Jones about menu losing color
after reading instructions.
There are no color menus and the orignal menu was
displayed in what ever color was left when it was called
changed menu to an external file... Problem solved as
sysop can make menu any color they want.
Found major bug in Local function... Accidently left
some temporary code in compiled version that required
pressing F8 to get out of door. "UL" file was left in
work directory.
02/07/92: Released first alpha version
